Israel Apter

Israel is a litigator who also takes a resolution-focused approach. He works toward settlement through negotiation, mediation, and/or arbitration where appropriate.

He also takes a resolution-focused approach to clients' matters. Where appropriate, Israel will work to achieve settlement for his clients through negotiation, mediation, or other forms of alternative dispute resolution outside of the court process.

Since 2010, he presents at the Mandatory Information Program (MIP) at the Newmarket Court. Israel is also a parenting coordinator and an arbitrator.

He attended law school at Queen's University, obtaining the degree of Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2009. Israel was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2010. Prior to obtaining his J.D., Israel attended York University, majoring in Political Science.

When Israel is not spending time with his family, he is involved in a variety of charitable and volunteer work in the community. This includes serving as a current member of the Board of JACS (Jewish Addiction Community Services), and co-chairing numerous fundraising events for JACS. He volunteers on several committees at Beit Halochem Canada, which provides assistance and rehabilitation to thousands of injured and disabled soldiers. Israel is also the chair of an annual toy drive which delivers thousands of toys to hundreds of children from low income families during the holiday season each year.
